1. Information We Collect

MarginLens collects the following data from your Shopify store:

• Product names, prices, and inventory levels
• Order data (quantities and revenue, no customer personal data)
• Product costs you manually enter into the app
• Your store's email address for sending weekly digests

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data exclusively to:

• Calculate real profit margins per product
• Generate AI-powered profit improvement recommendations
• Send weekly email digests summarizing your store's performance
• Identify slow-moving inventory

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Railway infrastructure (US-based servers). Product costs you enter are stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

MarginLens uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude API — for AI profit analysis (product data only, no customer data)
• Resend — for sending weekly email digests
• Railway — for hosting and database storage

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have MarginLens installed. When you uninstall the app, your data is deleted within 48 hours.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of weekly email digests at any time
